Los Angeles – Mobile entertainment distributor Thumbplay has seen 500,000
downloads of its mobile music streaming applications since launching them for
iPhone, Android and BlackBerry in June, TechCrunch reported. TechCrunch notes
that, while the download includes a free trial of the $9.99 per month service,
if the company is converting just 10% of users to paid subscribers that equates
to $500,000 in monthly revenues.
