McLean, Va. – Gannett’s (NYSE: GCI) USA Today said on Thursday it has
launched the USA Today Developer Network, a new portal providing tools designed
to help developers build applications that incorporate its content. Launched in
conjunction with Mashery, the portal currently features two application
programming interfaces (APIs) — one that gives developers access to
information about the USA Today Best-Selling Books list and another offering
data from its sports salaries database. Additional APIs will be released on an
ongoing basis.
