San Francisco – Skyfire has released an application that
enables Apple’s (NASD: AAPL) iPhone to play Flash-based videos, CNET News.com reports. The
$2.99 Skyfire 2.0 app uses the company’s servers to convert Flash videos into
the iPhone-supported HTML5 format on the fly, enabling viewing and sharing. The
app has already been blocked by services including Hulu, and does not work for
Flash-based games or other non-video content.
