Palo Alto, Calif. — iControl Networks, a Palo Alto-based developer of broadband home management systems, said it will merge with Texas-based counterpart uControl. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The combined company will retain the name iControl Networks and be headquartered in Palo Alto, with a division in Austin, Texas. iControl CEO Paul Dawes and uControl CEO Jim Johnson will both remain in their role, serving as co-CEOs. iControl said the move will allow it to deliver interactive home security, energy management and home health care systems to broadband service providers, home security companies and utilities.
