San Francisco – TokBox, a provider of live video chat
applications, announced on Monday that it has secured $12 million in its third
round of funding, from DAG Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures and Sequoia Capital.

San Francisco-based TokBox’s OpenTok platform lets anyone set up a live, group
video chat from their website that can accommodate up to 20 participants and
thousands of viewers.

Early adopters of OpenTok include eBuddy, The Real News
Network, WinkVid, PokerView and Assembla.

The company has now raised a total of
$26.4 million to date.
