Mountain View, Calif. – Google (NASD: GOOG) announced on Thursday that
Verizon’s (NYSE: VZ) FiOS TV digital TV service has signed on to use its Google TV Ads
platform, which uses the company’s online auction model to sell unsold TV ad
inventory. Verizon FiOS currently counts some 3.3 million subscribers. Google
said that by early 2011, Google TV Ads will have a reach of almost 35 million
households.
