Oakland, Calif. – Orb Networks on Thursday released Orb TV,
a $99 device and corresponding software that lets viewers watch online video on
their televisions. The Orb connects to a television, and delivers online video
via Wi-Fi from a connected computer, while allowing remote control via
smartphone apps. Because of its computer link, the Orb can provide video from
Hulu and network websites — which have been blocked from rival Web-to-TV
services Google TV and Boxee.
