Los Angeles – AuditionBooth, an online casting call service
for casting agents and producers where users can upload videos, has raised $4
million in funding to date and received an additional $2 million in funding
commitments, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Investors include Conundrum
Capital Partners, Infusion CEO Greg Bril, company president and chairman Frank
Celli and "American Idol" judge and celebrity Paula Abdul.
Casting
agents and production companies can post casting calls to the site, where users
may then upload audition videos.
The company told The Journal it hopes to count
625,000 users by the end of next year, and 125,000 paid subscribers to its
premium offerings.
