Los Angeles – ScoreBig, a members-only site that promises
savings on sports, concert and theater tickets nationwide, officially launched
in beta this week and said it closed on additional venture capital financing.

The company said it has raised a total of $8.5 million to date, led by Bain
Capital Ventures.

Other backers include Gideon Yu, Shari Redstone, Michael
Bronner and Finn Wentworth.

Founded in 2009, Los Angeles-based ScoreBig claims
to offer members guaranteed savings of up to 70 percent on tickets, with no
fees and free delivery.

The company said it partners with venues, sports teams,
promoters, artists, entertainment properties and others to help move unsold
ticket inventory.
