Los Angeles – Game developers Activision Blizzard (NASD: ATVI) and Zynga
have been sued for patent infringement by Walker Digital, a firm launched by
Priceline.com founder Jay Walker, TechCrunch reported.

The 2002 patent in
question describes a "database driven online distributed tournament
system."

Walker alleges that game titles including Activision’s "Call
of Duty: Black Ops" and Zynga’s "Mafia Wars" are violating its
patent.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages.
