Beijing – Chinese video portal Ku6 Media (formerly known as
Hurray Holding Co.) said on Wednesday that it has launched a beta version of
its premium content service, Ku6 VIP. The service launches with over 100
titles, from Sony Pictures ("2012"), Warner Bros. ("Harry
Potter") and others, and plans to add domestic films and TV series,
animation and live event broadcasting later this year. Users pay 2 to 5 RMB per
title ($0.30 to $0.76) or 30 RMB ($4.56) for a monthly subscription.
