Berlin – SponsorPay, a European ad-funded online payments
platform, has raised $5 million in new funding, from Nokia Growth Partners and
existing investors.
Berlin-based SponsorPay provides virtual currency
monetization services for social networks and gaming companies, including
Ubisoft, Playdom, PlaySpan and King.com.
The company will use the new funds to
expand its platform to mobile devices.
SponsorPay said its new toolkit for smartphone
application developers offers a range of distribution and monetization
products, including application installs, surveys, trials, lead generation and
videos.
