Redmond, Wash. – Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) said on Wednesday that it has now
sold more than 10 million Kinect motion-sensing controllers for its Xbox 360
console worldwide.

The tally makes the Kinect the "fastest-selling
consumer electronics device," according to Guinness World Records, having
sold an average of 133,333 units per day for a total of 8 million units in its
first 60 days on sale.

The company added that more than 10 million standalone
Kinect game titles have also been sold to date.

Microsoft says it has sold more
than 50 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide.
