New York – Hulu, the video portal joint venture between NBC
Universal, News Corp. (NYSE: NWS) and Disney (NYSE: DIS), is planning to downsize its board of
directors in a bid to streamline decision-making, The Wall Street Journal
reported, citing sources.

Those stepping down may include Disney CEO Bob Iger
and News Corp. COO Chase Carey.

The Hulu board to this point has counted twelve
members, "including three each from three media companies that have at
times differed on strategic direction," The Journal reported.

The Journal
notes that the talks come as the joint venture’s media company partners are
negotiating new contracts with Hulu, discussing things like content windows and
Hulu Plus-exclusives.
