Los Angeles – HipGeo, a developer of location-aware
technology, said on Wednesday that it has raised $500,00 in seed funding, led
by Morado Venture Partners.

Other investors included Galen Buckwalter and
Robert Bingham.

Los Angeles-based HipGeo’s platform automatically creates a
record of the places users go and how they get there.

Users can add routes,
places, comments, photos and other user-generated content and then share them
via social media.

The company, which was launched this year by a team of
ex-Yahoo employees, said it will open an API to third-party developers.
