New York – Barnes & Noble on Monday released a software
update for its Nook Color, bringing apps, email and other tablet features to
the e-book reader device. The $249 device, which runs Google’s Android
operating system, can now download more than 125 applications, including
"Angry Birds" and Pandora, and access Web-based email services like
Gmail and Yahoo Mail.
