San Francisco – Streaming music service Rdio on Monday
announced the public availability of a new Mobile Playback API for Android and
Apple’s iOS platform. The API will allow developers to feature the 8.5 million
tracks in Rdio’s catalog in their applications, with non-Rdio-subscribers given
access to 30-second streaming song samples.
