San Francisco – YouTube co-founders Chad Hurley and Steve
Chen on Monday announced that they have acquired Tap11, the provider of a
real-time business intelligence platform.
Financial terms of the transaction
were not disclosed.
The deal follows the pair’s acquisition of social
bookmarking service Delicious; both companies will become part of their new
venture, AVOS.
Over 500 brands, media companies and agencies use San Mateo,
Calif.-based Tap11’s platform, which integrates social publishing and
analytics.
"Our vision is to create the world’s best platform for users to
save, share, and discover new content," said Hurley. "With the
acquisition of Tap11, we will be able to provide consumer and enterprise users
with powerful tools to publish and analyze their links’ impact in
real-time."
