San Francisco – StackMob, the provider of a platform for developing and managing mobile applications in the cloud, announced on Monday that it has raised $7.5 million in new funding, led by Trinity Ventures.

Previous backers Harrison Metal and Baseline Ventures also participated in the funding, which the company will use for product development and to hire additional staff.

San Francisco-based StackMob says its platform decreases time to market for mobile application developers.
