Irvine, Calif. – Vokle, the developer of a Web-based video communications platform, has raised $767,000 in new funding led by Tech Coast Angels.
Launched in late 2009, Irvine, Calif.-based Vokle lets broadcasters and bloggers broadcast live video online, and take live video and text questions from an audience.
The platform has been used to broadcast events that featured speakers including Al Gore, Arianna Huffington and Sir Richard Branson. Vokle said it now reaches 760,000 unique monthly viewers.
The company will use the funds to add staff and facilities, and to continue audience development and user growth.
