Los Angeles – A hacker group that targeted the PBS website over the weekend and said it would next attack Sony has apparently made good on the threat, hacking servers at Sony Pictures and Sony BMG and posting consumer data stolen online, Wired reports.

The LulzSec hacker group said in an online post that it was able to snatch email addresses and passwords from 50,000 consumers who had signed up for three Sony promotions.

The promotions in question were for “Seinfeld – We’re Going to Del Boca Vista,” and contests created in conjunction with AutoTrader, and the movie “Green Hornet.”

These new attacks on Sony’s websites follow a month-long outage of its PlayStation Network and Qriocity services — which were downed by hackers that LulzSec has denied involvement with.
