Boston – Brass Monkey, the provider of a gaming platform for iPhones and other devices, announced on Thursday that it has acquired Emotely, a San Francisco-based software developer that adds HTML5 to the Brass Monkey platform.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Emotely’s software turns mobile devices into wireless controllers for PCs.

It allows iPhones/Android phones to communicate at speeds up to 150hz with any web page, with no installation on the controlled PC.

Emotely’s founder, Francois Laberge, will become Boston-based Brass Monkey’s chief innovation officer, heading up business strategy and technology associated with HTML5 and mobile.
