San Francisco – Tapjoy, the operator of an in-app mobile advertising platform, on Thursday announced the creation of a $5 million fund to port applications to the Android mobile platform.

The Tapjoy Android Fund will offer monetary and development support to developers looking to port existing content and apps to the Android platform.

Developers will also be able to access Tapjoy’s virtual currency monetization engine, game state server, and mobile analytics platform.

The Tapjoy network currently includes more than 9,000 apps on iOS, Android and emerging mobile platforms, and is delivering 1.5 million ads daily.
