Richfield, Minn. — Best Buy has plans to expand their U.K. online music platform to the United States, a technology supplier said, according to Bloomberg.

The world’s largest consumer-electronics retailer’s platform, entitled My Music Anywhere, enables its users to stream content they have purchased to a mobile phone, tablet or computer without having to transfer the files to and from a computer.

Although Best Buy has yet to make a formal announcement, the online music platform — similar to companies’ music platforms like Amazon and Apple — is projected to challenge these companies in cloud-based offerings.
