Palo Alto, Calif. — ScaleXtreme, a developer of cloud-based systems management services, said on Tuesday it has raised $11 million in its second round of funding, led by Ignition Partners.
Previous backer Accel Partners also participated in the round, which the company will use to accelerate the rollout of additional product capabilities, as well as bolster marketing and sales activities.
“There is a dramatic shift going on in the computing industry with the advent of virtualization and public cloud computing — and with this, there is a significant opportunity for some company to transform the management of the new computing landscape,” said CEO Nand Mulchandani.
