Alexandria, Va. – The U.S. added 1,800 information technology jobs in July, marking the 18th consecutive month of growth, according to new figure from the TechServe Alliance, a collaboration of IT services firms, clients, consultants and suppliers.
The U.S. now counts 4.05 million IT workers, up more than 120,000 from the previous year.
“Despite the tepid recovery, IT employment remains a bright spot,” said Mark Roberts, CEO of the TechServe Alliance. “While mindful that the IT employment is not immune to the broader macroeconomic trends, we remain optimistic about the prospect of continued growth in IT employment for the foreseeable future.”
