The list of most popular Facebook pages has remained only slightly changed over the last quarter, although all of them gained additional numbers. At the top, and becoming the first to attain 50 million “likes,” are Facebook’s own page and Zynga’s Texas Hold’em Poker.
At no. 3 is Detroit’s own Eminem (pictured), with 47.88 million likes, topping the trend for the list to be overwhelmingly dominated by entertainment. That’s if YouTube is included in that genre, which with 46.06 million likes comes in at no. 4.
At no. 5 is Rihanna, whose 45.91 million likes puts her comfortably ahead of Lady Gaga, who is at no. 6 with 44.29 likes. The entire to 25 is posted below.
Intriguingly, two other entertainers on the list are deceased. Michael Jackson is at no. 7 with 41.56 million, and Bob Marley further down at no. 19 with 31.74 million.
Just one consumer brand page cracked the top 25: Coca-cola, at no. 16 with 34.79 million likes and more joining daily. This and the rest of this data comes from Inside Facebook’s quarterly report and is collated using the company’s PageData tool. More information on that is available here.
The only other exception is an athlete – and yes, no matter what most Americans may believe about the World Series and the Super Bowl, he plays soccer. At no. 5 with 35.12 million is Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for the Spanish club Real Madrid and captains the Portuguese national team.
