Social games and mobile applications company Apps Genius Corp. has signed an exclusive worldwide license with NEP Snooki Enterprises to create, develop, sell and distribute up to eight social games and mobile applications on behalf of Jersey Shore’s own Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“These games and applications are my new favorite accessories, and I love them to death,” Polizzi said in a statement. “Having worked on these from the beginning, I know Jersey Shore viewers and my other fans will love them. I can’t wait to release the first one that we have been working on with Apps Genius.”

Considerations of personal taste aside, there are fan base statistics to back up App Genius’ business decision. Polizzi has over 3.5 million Facebook “likes” and nearly 740,000 Twitter followers. Her first book, A Shore Thing, reached the bottom on the New York Times best-seller list, and her next book, Confessions of a Guidette, goes on sale Oct. 25. In addition, the MTV reality show Jersey Shore is now in its fourth season and has an average of 7.59 million viewers per episode.

Adam Kotkin, CEO of Apps Genius, said the deal was the first to come from the company’s recently announced Celebrity Entertainment Division, and that the Snooki products will demonstrate the value of partnering with Apps Genius.

“Snooki’s enthusiasm for this new venture represents the perfect start for our Celebrity Entertainment Division,” Kotkin said in a statement. “Our celebrity apps and games are a partnership in design and creativity with the celebrities we work with, and my team and I look forward to working first with Snooki in the design of her games and applications.”

The new Snooki applications and games will available on Android, Apple’s iOS, Facebook and Google+ platforms.
