Sony Computer Entertainment America has named Guy W. Longworth as senior vice president, Marketing and PlayStation Network, in which position he will report to Jack Tretton, SCEA’s president and chief executive officer. On Oct. 31 Longworth assume responsibly for product marketing, promotions and brand development, and all other aspects of SCEA marketing.
He replaces Peter Dille, who left SCEA in September to become chief marketing officer at mobile app platform company Tapjoy.
Longworth joins SCEA having been founder of Annapurna One where he partnered with chief executive officers to develop new business strategies that maximized value and growth. Previously he was at Jemella Ltd., having formerly held chief marketing officer positions at both Marlow Foods and Kellogg’s.
“Guy’s extensive background and experience with consumer marketing in multiple categories make him uniquely qualified to help deliver our messages to consumers and effectively impact our brand,” Tretton in a statement. “He brings with him an experienced understanding of the marketing industry and has a strong record of consumer-driven success. Guy will be an integral part of our marketing efforts across the PlayStation brand moving forward.”
