Disney has declared March 3 to be Platypus Day, in honor of Perry from the top-rated animated series Phineas and Ferb, and is spanning multiple media with the celebrations.

As the Disney Channel show’s millions of fans know, Perry is a teal-colored pet platypus who doubles as a secret agent in order to foil the ineffective evil plots of Dr. Doofenshmirtz. As a focus of the day, Perry now has his own website, with games, printables, an app that takes fans’ pictures alongside Perry, and other activities.

The site also features a shareable video of how to dance “The Platypus Walk.” Kids of all ages are encouraged to download the song and learn the dance by following lessons led by choreographer Rosero McCoy, which Disney says is a fun physical activity and part of the company’s commitment to inspire kids and families to lead active lifestyles. “The Platypus Walk” music video, which showcases numerous Disney Channel stars doing the dance, will be on air and online March 3.

“The Platypus Walk” song debuted Wednesday when Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (creators/executive producers, Phineas and Ferb) joined Radio Disney’s Ernie D on air, in character as Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram respectively. The duo also will co-host Radio Disney’s Top 30 Countdown on March 3 and 4.

Platypus Day will also include 11 hours of Phineas and Ferb Disney Channel programming, events via local Radio Disney stations nationwide, and a takeover campaign at all Disney Stores in the U.S. and Canada.
