Stamford, Conn. – LiveClips, the Stamford, Conn.-based provider of a service for delivering video clips to sports and fantasy league fans over the Internet and mobile devices, has named Brian Kalinowski as its chief operating officer.
Kalinowski joined LiveClips after nearly five years as executive vice president with WWE Interactive. Jack Loop, the acting chief operating officer, has transitioned to the role of vice president, sales and marketing.
Last week, LiveClips announced it raised about $2.2 million in venture capital over the past two months from Advantage Capital Partners, Ironwood Capital Connecticut, and Connecticut Innovations.
LiveClips’ video clipping technology ingests live feeds from games and creates, digitizes and delivers searchable video clips of every play within 10 seconds of live action.
Founded in 2008, the company said it created 83,000 discrete video clips, of which 6,887 were distributed to fans who viewed them over 65 million times during the 2011 BCS college football season.
