Mountain View, Calif. – Google has named former congresswoman Susan Molinari to lead its Washington, DC office, which focuses on lobbying and policy issues.
Molinari, a New York-based Republican who served in the House of Representatives from 1990-1997, will serve as vice president of public policy and government relations for the Americas.
She succeeds Alan Davidson, who left the company in November.
Molinari, most recently the president and CEO of the Washington Group, will give the Mountain View-based company a well-known face on Capitol Hill, where it has been facing increased scrutiny over its privacy practices.
