San Mateo, Calif. – SugarSync, the San Mateo-based developer of a free service that syncs files across a user’s computers and devices, said on Wednesday it has raised $15 million in its fourth round of funding, which the company will use to grow its team and expand its datacenter footprint.

New investor Coral Group led the round, which also included participation from previous backers Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Sigma Partners, Hatteras Venture Partners and Hercules.

The company now has raised $50 million since its inception. SugarSync’s service is expected to be introduced to over 100 million new customers this year through partnerships with companies such as Samsung, Lenovo, Fujitsu, SanDisk, France Telecom-Orange, Korea Telecom and SoftBank Mobile.
