San Francisco – Virtustream, a Maryland-based developer of software designed to move complex IT environments to the cloud, with West Coast operations in San Francisco, said on Friday it has raised $15 million in its third round of funding, increasing its total backing to $75 million.
Participants included Intel Capital, Columbia Capital, Noro-Moseley Partners and TDF, as well as new investor QuestMark Capital.
The company said it will use the proceeds to further enhance its core xStream platform, as well as to expand its geographic coverage.
Virtustream, which currently has other offices in New York and London, and operates four data centers worldwide, said it has expanded into China and Southeast Asia through new partnerships. The company raised $10 million in its second round, which closed last July.
