Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has entered into a distribution, sales and trade marketing agreement with Codemasters Ltd. for North and South America. The deal includes all of Codemasters’ 2012 slate of titles, including DiRT Showdown and F1 2012.
Codemasters previously had the same arrangement with THQ, which is going through troubled times.
DiRT Showdown (pictured) is an arcade racing game that features intuitive controls, top-notch graphics, and lots of explosions, stunts and cheering crowds. F1 2012 is a more hard-core racing game with extended technological, competitive and co-operative multiplayer components.
WBIE previously worked with Codemasters for the European launch of The Lord of the Rings Online.
“Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has a long history with Codemasters and we look forward to continuing our partnership again this year,” said Kevin Kebodeaux, senior vice president, Sales, Americas, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Distribution remains an important part of our business and adding Codemasters’ slate of titles dovetails nicely into our strategy to deliver consumers a range of quality games.”
