Majesco Entertainment brought reknowned streetballer Grayson “The Professor” Boucher to E3 today to demo its forthcoming Kinect for Xbox 360 exclusive, NBA Baller Beats. Tomorrow, three-time NBA All-Star Deron Williams will take over the celebrity demo duties.

Emphasizing the role of music in the game, the entrepreneurial DJ Skee will be Majesco’s “master emcee” for all three days of the world’s largest game convention.

NBA Baller Beats is developed by Canadian game company HB Studios from a concept by Curtis R. Smith.

Players use a real Spalding basketball to challenge the full body motion-based game that tests their ball-handling skill, style and speed in time to a soundtrack of 30 licensed tracks from several genres and decades.

The NBA Baller Beats and Spalding ball bundle will be available for the suggested retail price of $59.99 when it launches September 11, 2012. It features an in-game tutorial by two-time NBA champion and Emmy Award-winning TNT NBA analyst Kenny Smith.

Today Majesco Entertainment also announced 15 of the 30 featured in-game songs:

  • “Amazing” – Kanye West
  • “Another One Bites the Dust” – Queen
  • “Bangarang” – Skrillex
  • “Blue Sky” – Common

  1. What a crazy, original concept for a game, although after playing it a bit, I actually wonder why it took so long because it totally makes sense in the wake of the success of Guitar Hero, DDR and sports games in general that they would find a way to have the best of both worlds. Also, “C’Mon Catch ‘Em By Surprise” is such an awesome song to use in the trailer, it totally got me psyched for this game. Great to hear Busta’s voice again, been awhile since i’ve heard him, and Diplo and Tiesto both bring their A game for this track
