Sunnyvale, Calif. – Yahoo on Monday named former Google and AOL executive Michael Barrett as its executive vice president and chief revenue officer, responsible for the Silicon Valley company’s ad revenue and operations on a global basis.
Barrett previously served as the CEO of Admeld, then led Google’s integration efforts following that company’s acquisition of Admeld in December. He also has served as the chief revenue officer of Fox Interactive Media and executive vice president of sales and partnerships at AOL Media Networks.
“Michael Barrett is regarded as one of the most successful and influential executives in media and technology, and I am thrilled to have him join Yahoo in this critical role,” said Ross Levinsohn, Yahoo’s interim CEO.
