The Verge reports: “F cryptocurrency Libra claims to solve a very dire problem: helping people without access to banks. I have my doubts about how helpful Libra will be. According to the white paper, the entire point of Libra is to “enable a simple global currency and financial infrastructure that empowers billions of people.” The company claims Libra will help give people access to a cheaper system of money transfers.”
