New York – Viacom (NYSE: VIA) has sold its Xfire online gamer community
unit, which it acquired in 2006 for $102 million, to Titan Gaming.

Financial
terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Titan has to date raised just $1.3
million in venture capital financing.

Founded in 2002, Xfire claims 16.7
million users of its service, which helps gamers connect to chat and share
achievements.

Titan Gaming said that it will change its name and branding to
Xfire, and that services for existing Xfire users will continue uninterrupted.
