Boston – The Boston Globe, owned by The New York Times
Company (NYSE: NYT), announced on Thursday that it will begin charging for online access to
some of its content next year. Boston.com will continue to be free and
ad-supported, while subscription-only site BostonGlobe.com will feature
"all the content produced by the newspaper’s journalists," as well as
exclusive reports, in-depth news, analysis, commentary, photos, graphics, video
and interactive features, said publisher Christopher Mayer.
