New York – Hulu is mulling a price cut for its
recently-launched Hulu Plus subscription service, from $9.95 per month to
$4.95, All Things D reported, citing sources.
Hulu Plus offers greater access
to older episodes of the TV programs that the free, ad-supported version of
Hulu offers.
Talk of a price cut would signal that consumers have not been
quick to adopt the new subscription offering; All Things D noted that Netflix’s
$8.99-per-month service offers a greater catalog of streaming titles, in
addition to DVD rentals.
