Washington – The Huffington Post, the popular left-leaning
political news site, said it will team with Sheila Johnson, the co-founder of
Black Entertainment Television (BET), to launch a new African-American news
site called "HuffPost GlobalBlack."
The site will focus on current
events and cultural trends from a black perspective.
Derek Murphy, former
senior vice president of business development at The Huffington Post, will
manage the venture’s business operations as COO.
