Overland Park, Kan. – Sprint (NYSE: S) on Monday announced a
partnership with Google, that will let Sprint subscribers set their existing
wireless numbers as their Google Voice numbers — avoiding fees associated with
porting their phone numbers.

The Google Voice service offers features such as
integration of multiple phone numbers; low-cost international calls;
speech-to-text transcription of voicemails; call screening; and free conference
calling.

Both outgoing and incoming domestic calls on Google Voice will travel
on Sprint’s network, while outgoing international calls will use Google’s
Internet-based network.
