Seoul, Korea — Samsung Electronics filed a complaint Wednesday asking the U.S. International Trade Commission to prohibit Apple from importing Apple’s iPhones, iPads and iPods.

The complaint, which is the latest move in an ongoing skirmish between the two companies, claims that Apple’s iPhone, iPod and iPad infringe copyright laws on five of their patents involving telecommunication standards and user interface inventions, Reuters reported.

“The complaint requests relief in the form of a permanent exclusion order prohibiting entry to the United States of all Apple products in violation of these patents,” said the South Korea-based company in a statement. Apple’s iPhone 4, iPad 2 and iPad Touch are included Samsung’s complaint.

The news of Samsung’s complaint stems from a growing legal battle between the two companies — Apple Corp filed suit against Samsung last week on a similar complaint.
