– Sony (NYSE: SNE) Computer
Entertainment America announced on Thursday that it has made Major League
Baseball’s MLB.TV subscription video service available to owners of its
PlayStation 3 video game console in North America.

The service will stream live
and archived baseball games in HD to the PS3 for $99.95 per year.

A premium
tier costing $119.95 adds the ability to choose ‘home’ or ‘away’ feeds of a
game broadcast; DVR functionality; scrollable linescore; and a scrollable,
league-wide daily scoreboard.

Streaming to the PS3 will be available at no
added charge to existing MLB.TV subscribers.
