– Shazam, a provider of mobile music discovery services, announced on Tuesday
that it has grown from 50 million to 75 million users in the past six months,
and has now processed more than 1 billion song identification requests. The
service lets users identify songs by holding a phone up to a speaker playing
music. Shazam said it expects to exceed 100 million users by the end of the
year.
