Minneapolis – Media and electronics retail store chain Best
Buy (NYSE: BBY) on Tuesday launched a digital video service, powered by CinemaNow, that it
says will offer same-day instant access to new release movies and TV shows. The
service will initially be available on select Blu-ray players and HDTV sets, as
well as via a PC, and allow users to rent or purchase downloaded content. LG
Electronics, and device makers including Insignia, have said they will make the
service available through their compatible devices.
