– Pop culture email newsletter GeekChicDaily said on Wednesday that it has
received an investment from Robert Pittman, the former COO of AOL Time Warner.
Launched in October 2009, GeekChicDaily is a free daily email newsletter
covering comics, video games, applications, toys, film and TV.
Its founders
include entrepreneur Peter Levin, Wizard Entertainment founder Gareb Shamus and
former Sony Pictures CEO Peter Gruber.
Pittman has also invested in the email
newsletters Thrillist and Tasting Table.
