Madrid – A federal court in
Spain
has acquitted the operators of a Web forum that offered links to download music
and videos from file-sharing networks, comparing the sharing of media online to
book-lending, which has been around "since ancient times,"
TorrentFreak reports.

In 2005, authorities raided operations associated with
CVCDGO.com and arrested four site administrators.

The Provincial Court of
Madrid has found that no offenses were committed, as CVCDGO itself did not host
any copyrighted files and did not profit directly from any infringements —
despite the existence of advertising on the site.
