Palo Alto,
Calif. –
Social Gaming Network, a
publisher of multiplayer mobile games for the iPhone and other platforms, has
raised $2 million as part of the first tranche of a second round of venture
capital financing, TechCrunch reported.

The funding came from Google CEO Eric
Schmidt’s Tomorrow Ventures, and Xing founder Lars Hinrichs.

Palo
Alto, Calif.-based SGN previously raised $15 million; founder
Shervin Pishevar told TechCrunch the new funds will be part of a "much
larger" round.
